Quality Time

Today I did something I’ve never done before – packed a picnic lunch. Which, considering the crazy weather that can’t decide if it wants to snow, rain, sleet, clear up, be windy, whatever, was a risk. But regardless, I packed it and went to pick up my beautiful wife at work.
We drove just down the road to Webster Lake, ate a hot lunch and laughed at the people screaming as the geese stampeded them to get to their lunch. And we saw a duck/goose hybrid, which was pretty incredible. And I thoroughly enjoyed that half hour that Alyssa and I spent together.
Tonight, we’re heading out to La Fondue as part of Denver’s 5280 week. I’ve never had fondue, so I’m looking forward to it. Melted cheese + a night out with Alyssa = Good. Times. Even without the melted cheese part, quality time with Alyssa always makes my day/week/month/year.
